Most calls to McCaskie are one of three things. Pick yours and you will be talking to the right person first time.
Something from the shop
Feed, minerals, wormers and animal medicines, fencing, tags, workwear, pet and equestrian supplies. Ring or call into your nearest country store — there are qualified SQPs in every one. The four stores and their numbers are on this page.
Milking, cooling, slurry or feeding equipment
A breakdown, a service, or a system you are thinking about. Ring Engineering at Stirling on 01786 474 481, any hour of any day, or email service@mccaskie.co.uk.
Advice on the farm
Animal health, nutrition and the seasonal jobs — calving, lambing, turnout, housing. That is your local rep, and all eight of them are qualified SQPs. Find yours.

Our own engineers, based at Springkerse in Stirling, covering the whole of Scotland.
The Two Numbers to Keep by the Parlour
Ring the engineering line, not the shop, when a machine stops. It is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What to have ready
Your name and the farm, what the machine is and what it is doing, and whether cows are waiting. It saves the engineer a second call.
We install and service the systems we specify and supply — robotic and conventional milking, milk cooling, slurry, ventilation, handling and feeding. What that covers, and how routine servicing works, is on the service page.

Eight reps across Scotland, dairy, beef and sheep, every one of them a qualified SQP.
Advice That Comes to the Yard
The reps are the farm side of McCaskie. They advise and support you through the season, with animal health the priority.
Vaccination programmes, treatments around calving and lambing, turnout, silage and housing — and because every rep is a qualified SQP they can talk you through the licensed medicines as well as the nutrition. Each rep covers a patch, so the quickest route is the map: find your local rep and ring them directly, or ask at any store and they will pass you on.

Accounts, Delivery and Collection
The four things people ring to ask, answered here so you do not have to.
Do I need an account?
No. The stores are open to the public and you can pay by card at the counter. If you want a farm account, ask in any store for an application form — it goes in with two references and a direct debit form, the references are checked, and we let you know the decision.
Delivery from the stores
Smaller orders go out on local delivery from Ayr, Kinross and Lanark. Stirling delivers larger loads only. Pallets and machinery go anywhere in our service area that the 18-tonne lorry can get on to the site. A delivery charge may apply, so ask the store before you commit.
Collecting in person
Every store has ample parking, trailers included. Speak to the counter first and you can load from the warehouse shutter.
Orders from the online shop
Orders placed on mccaskie.store are a separate service, sent by post or courier rather than on our own lorry. Timescales and charges are on the shop’s shipping policy, and questions about an online order go to hello@mccaskie.store.

What are McCaskie's opening hours?
The Ayr and Stirling country stores open Monday to Friday 8am–5pm; Kinross and Lanark open Monday to Friday 8.30am–4.30pm. All four open Saturday 9am–1pm and are closed on Sunday. Head office in Stirling is open Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. The engineering line is answered 24 hours a day.
Where is McCaskie's head office?

Find your local rep on the reps page and ring them directly, or ask at any store and they will pass your details on. Reps cover dairy, beef and sheep farms across Scotland.
Are you open on bank holidays?
Hours can differ on public holidays, so ring the store you are heading for before you set off. The engineering line is unaffected and is answered every day of the year.
